This citrus scent from Floris is similar to vetiver but with additional floral notes. I like the additional complexity that is a variation on Trumper's West Indian Lime or Guerlain Vetiver; sort of a sophisticated summer evening fragrance. Citrus, yellow floral, white floral. From Floris comes Santal, a nice fall/winter scent that is woodsy with warm spice, vanilla and lightly floral: very aromatic. (See Fragrantica notes.) 8/10
One of my favourite makers of scents is Guerlain, and I have a reviewed a few already (here, here and here). For summer, citrus notes are a favourite and specifically vetiver. Guerlain has two vetiver scents: an Eau de Toilet (EDT) and a Parfum (EDP). Most of my scents are EDT. (As a refresher, EDT is lighter than EDP.)

Their colognes are quite expensive but they sell a ten fragrance sample pack for only $34: Mayfair, Apsley, Sandalwood, Trafalgar, Grafton, Freshman, Clubman, West Indian Limes, 1805, and Spanish Leather.

A novel kind of cologne made by the Duke Cannon Supply Co. is in the form of a soft paste in a small metal container. I don't know about the quality of the scents but it has the advantage of avoiding the liquid limits for carry-on luggage. Available in Canada from Fendrihan.

Like bespoke tailoring, colognes and perfumes can be custom formulated for the individual. Most noted is Floris of London already recognized for their fine lines of perfumes.

From one of my favorite perfumers comes this summer citrusy fragrance with a hint of grapefruit and a cedar base.
One of the most popular of the Creed line. Described as a "walk through an Irish countryside." Notes of wood, amber, citrus, sandlewood and violet. A good spring and fall scent. One of the best, and one of my favourites. 9.5/10
Guerlain is one of my favorite cologne makers. This cologne has a sophisticated scent but is quite light and fairly short lasting. Not my top pick of Guerlain scents.
One of the Creed line that I've just tried. It has notes of citrus, sandalwood, musk and cedar.Sophisticated but not for me. See Fragantica review. Still excellent 7/10.
There are a number of online fragrance suppliers who can provide quality fragrances at prices below retail. I predominantly use Fragrancebuy.ca. They have great prices and a broad range. Their points scheme provides bonuses like free shipping. They also periodically offer free shipping.
MyFragranceSamples.com is a great source for fragrance samples. This way you can try a fragrance without committing to the cost of a full bottle. When I ordered a bunch of samples I was surprised to also receive a few free samples of other top quality brands.
B. Sleuth & Statesman is a retail store in Toronto that sells high quality fragrances like Geo. F. Trumper whose range is not readily available online.

A classic scent introduced in 2006 with warm spice, leather and light tobacco. Relatively inexpensive for a good quality scent. Now my favourite fall/winter fragrance.
An interesting subtle cologne that is predominately bergamot and almonds. Makes a nice fall scent.
Another one from Bulgari, which would be a great spring or fall scent. Woody (noted in the name) but with a fresh, light approach.
